How much does other people’s approval really mean to us? Can the number of likes be a measure of happiness, and can virtual attention replace genuine human connection? How do young people respond to this? What challenges do they face, and how do they deal with them? At a time when we increasingly live our lives in front of other people’s eyes, these questions are becoming more and more important.
At BookStar 2026, students from several secondary schools will talk with one of the most widely read contemporary Spanish authors, Eloy Moreno, about the need to be seen, the pressure to appear happy, and the boundary between the life we truly live and the one we present to others.
