Žarko Kujundjiski
Zharko Kujundjiski (Skopje, 1980) is a Macedonian novelist, essayist, playwright, poet, literary and film critic, translator, and publisher. He holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from the “Blazhe Koneski” Faculty of Philology. He is the author of 14 books, and his works have been translated into several languages and included in numerous anthologies, including The Best European Fiction 2013. He has received several literary and other awards, including the “Stale Popov,” “DeBuren,” “13 November,” and “Blazhe Koneski” awards.
He is the founder and initiator of several important cultural projects, including the international literary festival BookStar, the Dragi Award for Best Translation, the writers.mk platform, and the mobile bookstore Zborche. He is a member of the Writers’ Association of Macedonia and the Macedonian PEN Centre.
