Kalina Maleska

Kalina Maleska is a writer, professor of English literature, and a literary translator. Her works include several novels, short story collections, children’s books, and monographs focused on literary studies. Her novel The World I Chose received the Novel of the Year Award for 2024 by the “Slavko Janevski” Foundation. Maleska is one of the editors of the international collection Awake not Sleeping (2021), in which she is represented with two short stories, as well as an editor of other studies in the areas of literature and education. Her short stories have been translated into several languages and published in domestic and foreign magazines. Maleska has translated around a dozen literary works from English, among which is Free: Coming of Age at the End of History by Lea Ypi.
