What does it mean to be free today? Where does personal freedom end and social freedom begin? And is freedom a right, a privilege, a responsibility, or a constant struggle?
In the “Poetry Park,” BookStar 2026 brings together the voices of five international and five Macedonian authors. Through readings and literary encounters, they will offer different, sometimes contrasting, and sometimes surprisingly similar perspectives on freedom.
From the personal to the political, from the intimate to the universal—“FREE AT LeAST?” is a literary space for voices that question, challenge, and refuse to settle for ready-made answers.
The readings will be held in the authors’ native languages and moderated by Marko Mark.
