There

THERE builds on and expands the previous oeuvre of photographic works by Milčo Mančevski, STREET and PET KAPKI SON. In these projects, the visual texture of urban life is manifested through compositional and narrative play, and this dynamic and experimental approach to image creation shapes THERE. Starting with "Woman and Green Wall" and "Red Wall (Brooklyn)", two paintings that read almost like "color field" canvases, THERE takes us on a journey that is as much about the act of seeing as it is about experiencing a place. As an artist who works with both film and photography, Mancevski's approach to creating images constantly pushes the boundaries and avoids the conventional. His early foray into conceptual art continues to be reflected in his work in a variety of media, and the legacy of the historical avant-garde permeates many of the images moved to THERE.
