Our goal has always been to build a responsible attitude towards the environment. Therefore, this year the "BookStar" Festival becomes the first literary festival in Macedonia that begins a very important collaboration with "Pakomak". In order to minimize the impact of packaging waste on the environment and to enable a higher quality of life for everyone, we encourage action to raise awareness of the importance of waste selection of all types, but also active participation in the selection process.
That is, apart from the fact that special dispensers will be set up during the festival to accept paper and paper packaging that you do not need and want to recycle, we will also reward your responsibility. By accumulating at least three hundred points on the "Ekomak" application, eco-modern readers receive a book for free during the Festival, with no points deduction.

"Pakomak" was founded in 2010 and very quickly became the most recognizable non-profit company in Macedonia that deals with packaging waste management. Since 2011, it has been the 34th national company to join the international packaging waste management network ProEurope, thus obtaining the license to use the "Green Dot" symbol.
It is also the first Macedonian company to introduce the world trend in sorting - returnable vending machines for collecting plastic bottles and cans.

On May 1, 2022, "Antholog" launched the agenda for responsible behavior towards nature and the community "We care for the planet". This set of principles includes specific measures and activities for ecological, sustainable, ethical and socially responsible behavior.
