In occasion of: "Anthology of Macedonian Slam Poetry"

The poetry slam contest is a modern, performative way of interpreting author's original texts and is of a competitive nature. A five-member jury chosen by the audience scores the texts and the way of performance. The performer(s) have only their original work at their disposal, which needs to be performed by heart into a microphone with no other props or music and three to five minutes of performance time.
The National Poetry Slam Macedonia from Prilep is an event that has traditionally been held since 2011 in the organization of Theater Workshop - Prilep and Igor Trpčeski, and in the co-organization of Elena Prendјova. The almanac with the songs of all the participants is traditionally published every year. The winners of the "Poetry Slam Macedonia" qualify for participation in the European Poetry Slam competition, where until now there have been seven representatives from this year. So far, 150-200 authors from several cities have participated in these poetry competitions. Ten poetry collections have been printed, two electronic editions and the bilingual "Anthology of Macedonian Slam Poetry", which is currently being translated into Spanish and Serbian.
