Olivera Kjorveziroska (1965) was born in Kumanovo. She completed elementary and high school in her hometown, and the Faculty of Philology in Skopje, where she lives and works as an editor. She is the author of the poetry books, the children's novels, picture book, novels, short stories for adults and books of criticism and essays. She is represented in about twenty anthologies of the contemporary Macedonian short story, published at home and abroad. Her short stories have been translated into English, French, Hungarian, Albanian, Czech, Serbian, Bulgarian, Slovenian, Polish, Russian, German and Greek. She is a multiple winner of important awards for short stories in Macedonia, and for "Twinned Stories" in 2003. She has received the prize for the best prose of the Society of Writers of Macedonia "Stale Popov". He is a member of the WAM and the Macedonian PEN-center.
