Мariangela Biancofiore (1981) was born in Molla di Bari, a small town between Bari and Monopoli (Italy). She graduated in Macedonian language and literature and Anglo-American languages and literatures at the "L'Orientale" University in Naples, then specialized in the theory and practice of literary translation at the University of Bari. From 2006 to 2017 she lived in Skopje, where she taught at some universities and was actively involved in the promotion of cultural and social projects. She has translated various Macedonian authors: Luan Starova, Oleg Dementienko, Kata Kjulavkova, Dragi Mihajlovski, Aleksandar Prokopiev, Lidija Dimkovska, Vlada Urošević and Žarko Kujundjiski. Translates from Macedonian, Bulgarian and English.
