If you stare into the abyss for a long time

A novel with a poignant and touching story about the disintegration of a poor family during the transition periods when socialist factories are closed wholesale, and all businesses are taken over by the mafia. Bringing in mythological allusions like the Epic of Water, Halilović re-examines philosophy through the prism of illness and sin. Poetics about invisible people passing through great historical events. Infused with subtle comedy, this novel speaks loudly about the margins. With a micro-symbolic approach, he integrates both the poetic sensation and the ancient tragedy.

Walls

In the poetry collection "Walls", the main inspiration is guided by the historical-etymological concept of the wall, as well as the wall of knowledge as a preoccupation of philosophy. Halilović invented a solid whole, emphasizing the principle of division and touching on etiology, logic, philosophy, history, religion and transcendental aesthetics. It remains faithful to aesthetics and the constancy of concepts, laws and relationships. Winner of the "Meša Selimović" award, one of the most prestigious literary awards in Serbia.
