Andrej Al-Asadi was born in 1996 in London. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the University "St. Cyril and Methodius" in Skopje. He is the author of the poetry collections "Midnight Blues" (2013), "Under the Dervish Willow" (2018), "Celestial Geometry" (2019) and "Everyone is a Mirror to Everyone Else" (2021), with which he entered the shortlist for the "Miladinovci Brothers" at Struga Poetry Evenings. He is also the author of the short story collections "Another Past", for which in 2018 he received the prize for debut prose manuscript "The New Ones" and "The Morning of the Sleepless" (2021). He has participated in several poetry readings and festivals, including: Poetry Night in Velestovo, Struga Poetry Evenings, and the World Poetry Festival in Patras, Greece. His poems have been translated into English, Arabic, Serbian, Croatian, Greek and Italian.
