Viennese Gambit
Viktor Nikolov is a 33-year-old inspector of the Department for Blood Crimes from Skopje. During his summer vacation, he goes to Vienna to visit his younger brother Daniel, a failed writer who barely survives working as a bartender in an elite nightclub.
While exploring the irresistible Vienna, Victor meets Karen Fischer, the Austrian with whom he ends up in bed that same night.
But the beautiful night turns into a nightmarish morning. Daniel's girlfriend is found dead, and he has no alibi. Recent arguments between them come to the surface and the situation gets tangled in an unexpected direction.
Can you trust your own brother, who claims to be innocent? And how do you draw the line between when the lead investigator chasing your brother is the woman you slept with a few nights ago?
An intriguing, tense and unpredictable novel that keeps you in suspense until the last page.
