Aleksandar Šurbatović (1973) is a Serbian poet, writer, translator and publisher. He completed his primary and secondary education in Kragujevac, and in Belgrade he studied general and comparative literature at the Faculty of Philology and archeology at the Faculty of Philosophy. He lived in Amsterdam for eight years. For many years he was the chief and responsible editor of the "Dereta" publishing house, and now he is the owner of the "Bloom" publishing house. He has edited over three hundred titles, mainly from translated literature, and he is also engaged in translation from English. He is the author of several books of poetry and novels. Lives and works in Belgrade.
