Zachary Karabashliev (born 1968) is a Bulgarian novelist and playwright. His plays have been performed in Europe and America. He also writes film scripts. His works have been translated into almost all European languages. Since 2014, he has been the editor-in-chief of the largest publishing house in Bulgaria.The film version is expected for 18% gray..

Shaken by his wife's sudden departure, Zach tries to drown his sorrows in Mexico, then returns to the United States with stolen marijuana. Using this as an opportunity to change his life, he sets off for New York with the ganja and an old Nikon. Through the lens of the camera, he begins to reveal himself, photographing the dark side of America. His journey leads through a series of life-threatening events, interspersed with memories of his relationship with Stella and life in Bulgaria since the late 1980s.

The book has 22 editions in Bulgaria and received the "Vic" award for novel of the year.
