In the Eye of Consciousness
Translation: Susana Stojanovska

"In the Eye of Consciousness" is the first in a series of crime-thrillers featuring the character of Van Veteren, one of the most original detective characters in Scandinavian literature. The action takes place in a fictitious city called Mardam, located in Northern Europe in a country that is never named. A woman was found dead in a bathtub! The main suspect is the husband, who, after calling the police, turned on the machine with the dirty laundry from last night. Think it could be that simple?

The stages of the investigation of the killer of the first victim – Eva Ringmar are characteristic of a mystical crime novel. But with the appearance of the second murder, the plots begin to unravel. A thriller novel? - Yes! And an excellent thriller-novel, whose purpose is not only to open mysteries that will have a shocking finale, but also something deeper than that!
