Eloy Moreno
Eloy Moreno (Castellón, Spain, 1976) is a writer, author of books for both children and adults, and currently one of the most widely read contemporary Spanish authors. After studying computer science and working as an IT specialist, in 2010 he decided to self-publish his first novel, The Green Pen, which would eventually sell more than 250,000 copies.
His subsequent novels include What I Found Under the Sofa (2013), The Gift (2015), and Invisible (2018), which brought Moreno a huge international readership. Invisible has been translated into more than 15 languages and adapted into a series for Disney+.
He went on to publish Earth (2020), Different (2021), When It Was Fun (2022), and Networks (2024), a novel set in the same universe as Invisible and devoted to the impact of social media.
His books have been translated into more than 25 languages and published in over 30 countries.
Stories to Understand the World is intended for both adults and children and is widely read in educational institutions. His most recent project is a collection of illustrated stories for young readers: Together, I Want Everything, Invisible, and The Rules of the Mouse Pérez.
He has sold more than three million copies of his books. In 2025, together with illustrator David Sierra, he created The Little Prince’s New Journey, a continuation of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s classic.
In addition, on February 8, 2025, Moreno broke the Guinness World Record for the most books signed in 12 hours, signing an incredible 11,088 books. Eloy Moreno is one of the most widely read and beloved Spanish writers, known for his ability to explore universal themes with particular sensitivity and always from unexpected perspectives. He writes about ordinary people and subjects that we recognize from our own lives–loneliness, family, love, social pressure, bullying, technology, and the need to be seen and accepted.
