Literature, but from where and for where?
This year, as part of the Festival, the second convention is held between a group of representatives of important publishing houses, translators, operators and representatives of renowned cultural institutions. Together they will share experiences about the importance of literature in the region and in foreign countries and the possibilities for its dissemination.
- Would domestic authors be read beyond regional borders?
- To what extent does Macedonian literature arouse interest among foreign publishers?
- Is it a challenge to find the appropriate Macedonian writer for the foreign audience?
- What are the terms and benefits of translation subsidy programs?
- What kind of literature is the "west" interested in?
- How to cooperate on an international level?
The event aims to promote domestic literary projects and strengthen them with experiences and practices from foreign guests. Foundations will be laid for successful future collaborations through publishing an authors, promotion of the domestic literary scene, organizing festivals, visits, residencies and professional conferences.
