Description:
In recent years, Macedonian readers' interest in literature by writers from Europe has obviously increased, so we have a large number of new translations of classics, but also of eminent and award-winning works from contemporary European literature. During this period, we also have a number of promotions and guest appearances, so we believe that we should support this upward trend for European literature and literature in general. It is especially important that both Macedonia and Macedonian authors naturally belong to this literary family, because in the Anthology of European Literature we see in a wider, aesthetic-creative, and not only geographical-political context, so that in the future we will find authors and works from the Balkans, Switzerland, Russia, Turkey, etc. Due to the fact that stars as a symbol are an association of Europe, and due to the fact that we will invite the biggest names of European literature to Macedonia, we decided that the name of the festival should unite literature (books) and stars (stars). The month of October is symbolically chosen as the month of the book, when the largest literary fair in Europe is held in Frankfurt.
