“BookStar” is the first festival of European Literature in the region, organized by the “Antolog” publishing house. This event, which started in 2015 and is held every autumn, includes guest appearances by foreign and domestic authors, the European Book Fair, conversations, promotions, discussions, film screenings, music performances and other cultural events.
The festival interprets cultural change through the prism of literature for nine years in a row. It is a socially engaged event that aims to stir the interest of the general public, offering content that helps to better understand the problems that literature and society face today.
The “BookStar” festival has always brought us authors and works that challenge established narratives, ideas, prejudices, and the status quo. Therefore, “BookStar” 2023 is more than an event, it is an inspiration for those who believe that today's texts can instigate change, offering perspectives on the world where words are no longer just letters on paper but a call to awaken.
