<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\nMilan Damjanoski<\/strong> was born on August 23, 1977 in Skopje. He is employed at the Department of English Language and Literature at the Faculty of Philology \"Bla\u017ee Koneski\", where he currently holds the position of resident professor of English Literature and Conference Interpreting, teaching the subjects English Literature, Theory of Translation and Interpreting, Conference Interpreting. In 2015 he defended his doctoral dissertation \"Voice and Identity in the Literary Works of Robert Browning, Bla\u017ee Koneski, James Joyce and Slavko Janevski\" and<\/span><\/p>\n he received the title of Doctor of Philological Sciences. He also participated with his papers in several domestic and international professional conferences, symposiums and<\/span><\/p>\n workshops, as well as publishing his works in several renowned domestic and international printed and electronic professional journals and collections. He was a member of<\/span><\/p>\n the editorial board of the international magazine \"Blesok\", and is currently the president of the organizing board of the Young Translator Award \"Bavilon ZPRM\" of the Association of Translators and Interpreters of the Republic of Macedonia.<\/span><\/p>\n During his studies, as well as after their completion, he professionally engaged in translation and interpretation from English. He has translated three novels, several collections of poetry, and a collection of short stories into English and Macedonian by authors such as Salman Rushdie, O. Henry, Bla\u017ee Minevski, Vladimir Martinovski, and Svetlana Hristova-Jo\u010di\u0107. His translation into English of the novel \"The Mark\" by<\/span><\/p>\n Bla\u017ee Minevski, within the framework of the project of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia for the translation of 130 anthological Macedonian books, was nominated for the prestigious international award in 2011.<\/span><\/p>\n Dublin Impac Award 2013.
