\"\"Petra Klabouchov\u00e1<\/strong><\/p>\n

Petra Klabouchov\u00e1 (born August 20 , 1980 , Prachatice) is a Czech writer and\njournalist. She also works as a music manager for independent rock artists in Europe\nand the USA, where she organizes live concerts and music production.\nPetra Klabouchov\u00e1 comes from Husinec in South Bohemia , and spent her childhood\nin the \u0160umava Mountains , in Vimperk . After graduating from high school there, she\nstudied journalism, psychology and international relations at Masaryk University in\nBrno.<\/p>\n

As a journalist, she started as an editor in regional newspapers of the\u201cVltava Labe\nPress\u201d publishing house<\/em>, later, after her long-term work stays abroad, in Italy, the\nNetherlands, Sweden and California, she also contributed as an external editor to the\nmagazineGlanc\u201c<\/em>Currently, her reports are published in the literary magazineHost\u201c<\/em>.<\/em> Petra Klabouchov\u00e1 also writes and publishes in Italian with the \u201cLa Feltrinelli\u201d\npublishing house.La Feltrinelli\u201c<\/em>.<\/em><\/p>\n

In addition to literary publications, she has been working in the music field since\n2004. She represented the rock bands Hollywood Vampires (formed by<\/em>\u00a0<\/em>Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp and Joe Perry)<\/em>,<\/em> SEX Department<\/em> and Rock N Roll Army<\/em> on their concert tours in Europe, the USA and Japan, and\nparticipated in the production of their music albums at Perris Records<\/em> Perris Records (USA, Texas)\nand in the Czech Republic at Popron Music<\/em>.<\/p>\n

A story based on true testimonies about the fates of female political prisoners who\npassed through women's prisons in Czechoslovakia in the 1950s. The events are\nconnected to the present through two characters in the book \u2013 The Man with a Hole\nin His Heart and The Carer of the Dying. A new patient, Ludmila, arrives at the\nhospital for people with terminal illnesses with a diagnosis that the local medical\nteam does not understand. In addition to the cruelty of people and general injustice,\nthis is also a story about the strength of women, motherhood, and old age. The title\ncomes from the geographical location of the mass graves of victims of the communist\nregime, which are located "at the northern wall" of the Devil's Cemetery in Prague.\nThe novel reveals previously unknown details about the regime that some considered\ngood, and whose perpetrators declare: I was just doing my job.<\/p>\n

Behind the story of the discovery of the dead girl Tereza Velkova one cold night in\n\u0160umava and the investigation into her death, long-hidden truths about war crimes in\nthe Czech-German border region are revealed. The murdered girl is found wearing a\n\nstriped prison uniform with a Jewish emblem. Stories emerge of underground\ntunnels, about a secret Nazi aircraft parts factory, and a camp that was never\nrecorded anywhere and whose victims have no trace. Old stories influence the lives of\nnew generations living in the area. The spirit of inherited intolerance intensifies the\ndivision of the community and allows for a dive into the deep layers of the\npsychological profiles of the main characters of the story.<\/p>\n

The novel was awarded the honorary "Jir\u00ed Marko" award, which is awarded for the\nbest detective novel in the Czech Republic.<\/p>\n
