Translator and external collaborator, Bottega Errante Edizioni \u2013 Udine, Italy<\/em><\/p>\n

Giorgia Spadoni is a translator, literary scout and teacher from Italy. She holds a Master\u2019s degree from Sofia University \u201cSt. Kliment Ohridski\u201d in translation. Since 2022 she has been teaching a course in translation from Bulgarian into Italian within the university program. In addition to literary translation, she is also active in film translation and interpreting for literary events and festivals. She usually translates for Georgi Gospodinov.<\/p>\n

For her work, she was awarded with the \u201cLeonardo Pampuri\u201d (2018) and \u201cPolski kot\u201d (2024) translation prize and was also a finalist for the \u201cPeroto\u201d literary prize (2023).<\/p>\n

In 2023, due to her proposal the Italian publishing house \u201cBottega Errante Edizioni\u201d published \u201cCirco Bulgaria\u201d,which became one of the three finalists of the \u201cPeroto\u201d literary prize for the best translation from Bulgarian into a foreign language. The work is the recipient of the \u201cPolski kot\u201d award in 2024 for the best translation from a Slavic language into Italian.<\/p>\n

A couple of her literary proposals to \u201cBottega Errante Edizioni\u201d will be published in Italy in 2025.<\/p>\n

\u201cBottega Errante Edizioni\u201d focuses on publishing Italian translations of contemporary literature from Central, Eastern Europe and the Balkans. \u0422ranslation of Rumena Bu\u017earovska\u2019s \u201cMy husband\u201d to Italian language is published by this publishing house.<\/p>\n
